MMA believes that the world is our classroom. We plan field trips called Learning Adventure Days to celebrate the first day of each Hebrew month (Rosh Chodesh). These field trips allow the children to experience and apply the concepts they are learning as real world life skills, rather than merely learning theories in textbooks. We work to tie the trips into special events on the Jewish calendar along with skills and topics they are learning in their secular subjects.
Here are some samples of trips the students take:
- Olive Oil Factory
- Goat Farm
- Berry-picking Farm
- Science Museum
- Police Station
- City Hall
- Japanese Detainment Center from World War II
- State Capitol
- Science Center
- Recycling Center
- Animal Shelter
