A core component of our propriety curriculum is our focus on character development and leadership skills. We accomplish this by taking our children on a journey throughout the school year called the Hero’s Journey.
Your child is the main character in this adventurous journey and will learn how each of us has the power to be an incredible hero inside of every day life.
Our students also learn about the gigantic heroes from the Torah, plus modern day heroes like police officers, fire fighters, soldiers, doctors, nurses, teachers, and volunteers.
Early childhood is packed full of prime opportunities to learn that heroes come in all shapes, sizes, and packages. Capes are always fun, but certainly not necessary to get the job done! Our kiddos learn how they can be a hero through helping a friend in need, doing the right thing even when no one is looking, and saying ‘I’m sorry’ when needed.
The Hero’s Journey is scaled and customized according to age, beginning in our Toddler Program. Our budding heroes receive a special Hero’s Orientation as new students and follow the theme as an exciting learning adventure all year long.
This is seamlessly integrated into our curriculum along with academics, social emotional development, physical health, and kodesh studies as part of our commitment to the whole child in our holistic philosophy.
