At MMA, we have a vision to radically revolutionize the educational model, and this begins as an inside job.
You cannot teach what you do not know.
You cannot lead where you do not go.
You cannot give away what you do not have.
In order to transform how our children are educated, we must first transform how we view our Educators, how we treat our School Team, and what we expect from our joint collaboration efforts.
It’s time to create a whole new paradigm.
It’s time to raise the bar.
Our School Culture is created, built and maintained from the inside out, by every single member of the MMA Team.
We aim for a vibrant, collaborative work environment.
We work hard, play hard, love hard, and pray hard.
We expect a lot from ourselves and our co-workers. We work together with loving grace. We give passionately to our children, our team, and our mission.
We operate from the extra-mile philosophy:
The path of mediocrity is an over-crowded highway. But, there is never a traffic jam on the extra mile.
We are fiercely protective of each other.
We do not tolerate gossip, laziness, negativity, or toxicity of any sort.
The MMA Magic
There is a LOT that sets the MMA Culture apart from standard education, but one of the big components is that we view, appreciate, and treat our team as Educated Professionals.
This translates and trickles down to every part of our philosophy, including how we structure our year.
The MMA Year
Unlike standard education, MMA Educators and Administrators do not run on a 190-day year.
Our Team works year round, with ample break time to rest, recoup, and recharge along the way.
We also build in Team Wellness Days and Training Days into the annual calendar.
MMA is closed for all major Jewish holidays and American holidays, with extremely generous buffer days included. Our parents understand that this is a crucial component of empowering and equipping our Educators to give their absolute best throughout the school year.
Team Collaboration
In order for our integrated curriculum, multi-age classrooms, and project-based learning to work effectively, it’s imperative that our Educators and Administrators have ample time to collaborate on curriculum mapping, lesson planning, and tracking the growth of each individual student.
This time is built into the workday. Our employees also don’t hesitate to invest extra time into delivering an overall excellent experience whenever needed.
As a professional, there is nothing more rewarding and fulfilling than knowing that your best efforts are recognized, valued, and making a huge difference in the world around you.
Our Team knows they are supported, and they are eager to give back in generous doses.
Committed to the Cause
MMA Educators aren’t just looking for a paycheck, although they are paid very well. We pride ourselves in excellent pay, great perks, and an unmatched culture.
But for MMA Educators, it’s about way more than the money.
It’s about the mission.
We realize that dreams don’t come to life between the hours of 9 – 5, therefore we live by the “And Then Some” philosophy.
We give our best – and then some.
We do whatever it takes – and then some.
We invest our heart and soul – and then some.
We are willing to take calculated risks, fail forward together, help each other back up – and then some.
We believe that our next generation deserves more. And we are dedicating our careers to radically revolutionizing education.
A Work in Progress
At MMA, we’re definitely not perfect. In fact, we’ve got a LONG way to go in order to achieve our ultimate vision.
But we’re committed to getting there. Together.
We’re working as a Team to create a culture and work-life balance that we love.
A place that we’re proud to call HOME.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we know it will take an entire army to execute our revolution.
We need a lot of help to bring our full dream to life, and we are always on the lookout for likeminded men and women who have big hearts, a big vision, and an equally big work ethic.
